About Event

While no factory in India is 100 per cent Industry 4.0 complaint, many companies are taking baby steps, and choosing projects that make sense. The reason why they are interested in smart factories is not difficult to see – the rest of the world is doing it and India must keep pace to be competitive. India also has a productivity gap. Indian manufacturing’s contribution to the country’s GDP has remained stagnant at about 15-16 per cent for many years.

The idea is to establish a strong foundation and context for Maintenance Planning and Scheduling, take the Participants through the Basics of Planning and Scheduling, their Best Practices and Performance Measures.

This will be followed by Risk-Based Asset Strategy Development and Execution and the Potential Gaps in the context of various Maintenance Work and Maintenance 4.0 The changing Role of Maintenance Planning in the era of Dynamic and Flexible Asset Strategies will be discussed and the Program ends with the idea of Smart Planning and Scheduling.

N.P. Sundar, B.E. (Mech.), CMRP, MAIMA, is a Graduate Mechanical Engineer with more than 34 years of cross-functional experience (in the value chain of Asset Management), in the Manufacturing Sector of Hydrocarbon Processing Industry, notably in the Maintenance, Reliability and Asset Management functions and their domains.

Formerly with M/S Reliance Industries Limited, India (lastly as Group Lead-Planning at their CoE-Reliability Engineering and Asset Management till early 2018), his overall experience, spans the functions of Project & Project Engineering Management, Commissioning & Operations, Maintenance & Reliability Management, Enterprise Asset Management & Asset Performance Management, Planning & Strategy at different locations of the Organization.

His Management Systems focus areas included Maintenance, Reliability and Physical Asset Management, Process Safety Management (with specific focus on Mechanical Integrity and Quality Assurance), their design and implementation, Project/Program Management and Governance. He had also been part of Business Transformations and Continuous Improvement Programs both at the Site and Central levels of the Organization that had included the development of Reliability and Maintenance Strategy, Management Systems, Business Processes and their implementation in leading I.T. Solutions for Enterprise Asset Management, Asset Performance Management, Business Analytics and Information Systems including Governance.

He is currently an Independent Consultant in the Maintenance, Reliability and Asset Management domain and is also a member of Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals and All India Management Association.
