About Event

The Government has decided to re-categorise some of the offences as defaults carrying civil  liabilities which would be subject to adjudication mechanism and shall be liable to penalties in place of fine. The jurisdiction of the Regional Director has been enlarged, while there has been attempt to de-clog NCLT. Further, many new Corporate Governance provisions have been inserted in the Companies Act through these amendments.

In addition to the recent changes, the proposed amendments in the Companies Act, 2013 shall also be discussed. Recently the High Powered Committee, headed by MCA Secretary, has submitted its Report to the Government on CSR. The recommendations of this Committee shall also be discussed at the Workshop. The Central Government has also proposed to decriminalize the technical violations under the Companies Act, 2013. These proposals shall also form part of the Workshop.
